Japanese Back Pierce

To help calm the nerves of worried parents Japanese Back Pierce is not about piercing the back of your beloved children and inserting metal objects. In fact, Japanese Back Pierce is no where nearly as gruesome. Japanese Back Pierce is when the main part of the earring is hung or placed on the back of the ear instead of the front. In some earring designs the front part of the earring is connected to the back part with a chain, bead, gem, or thread link. Many different designs or variations can be seen on Japanese accessory or jewelry websites.

How is Angel Catch related to this?

Angel Catch has a twin sister called Back Pierce. Back Pierce is generally the same earring back with a small hoop on the edge of Angel Catch. This small hoop is what enables Angel Catch to change from an earring back into the main part of the earring. The design is only limited to the designers imagination.
